How it works from Why Nam Villa
- Getting to the party: take a taxi boat from the beach below the villa to Haad Rin. We can help you arrange boat times. The taxi boat from Haad Rin costs 500 baht per person each way, paid in cash, and we can arrange your transfer for you. Fares can change with the season.
- Getting home: ask your boat driver about late return times before you go, and plan on a pickup rather than hoping for a boat at any hour.
- The path up: Our staff meet you at the boat and carry all your luggage, and any food deliveries, up to the villa and back down again. The way up is a short jungle path of about 5 minutes, uphill in places and uneven underfoot, so it is not step-free: wear sturdy shoes or sandals. If you have limited mobility, message us before you book.
- Noise at the villa: Why Nam beach hosts parties and gatherings with music that can be heard from the villa. They start in the afternoon and finish early, around 10pm. Otherwise the soundtrack is jungle and sea.
Practical tips
- There are no ATMs nearby, so withdraw cash in Haad Rin before the boat. Most restaurants accept cards, but the boat is cash.
- Bring a torch or phone light for the jungle path at night, and wear sturdy shoes.
- Food can be delivered to the villa from restaurants on the three beaches, so you can eat well without going out.
