- You want quiet with beaches: pick a calm bay such as Thong Nai Pan or a hidden beach near Haad Rin.
- You want total seclusion: choose somewhere with no road to the door, where the only way in is by boat or on foot.
- You need ATMs, supermarkets and a pharmacy close by: stay in or near a town. The hidden beaches have no ATMs, and the nearest mini-mart is about a 10 minute walk from our villa.
- You are travelling with young children: a beach resort is easier. Our villa is not suitable for children.

Why Nam Villa is on Why Nam beach, in the hidden-beach group. It is a 5 minute walk to Why Nam and Haad Thien and about 10 minutes to Haad Yuan. Airbnb lists it under Haad Rin and Baan Thai only because those are the nearest towns it can show. That makes it near Haad Rin but quiet: you can walk home to the sounds of the jungle. Why Nam beach hosts parties and gatherings with music that can be heard from the villa. They start in the afternoon and finish early, around 10pm.
